Celsius is preparing to file a motion later this week requesting an extension of the bar date, which is the deadline to file a claim, from January 3, 2023, until early February.

Earlier today, we updated the Court on the progress we are making across Celsius. We discussed our financial position, insight into our work on a standalone reorganization plan (NewCo), and the ongoing marketing process, among other topics.

As a reminder, the deadline for customers to file a claim is Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Customers only need to submit a claim if they disagree with Celsius’ scheduling of their claims as filed in the Schedules of Assets and Liabilities.

At our hearing yesterday, we discussed the reopening of withdrawals for certain customers. We are approaching customer recovery in stages and we are encouraged by yesterday’s progress.

Celsius participated in two hearings today and continued to advance the dialogue on key matters with important stakeholders in our cases.

Today, @GalaxyHQ, a financial services and investment management innovator in the digital asset, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology sectors, confirmed their intention to acquire substantially all of the assets, liabilities, and contracts of GK8.

This week, the bankruptcy court approved our motion to set the bar date, which is the deadline for all customers to file a claim. The bar date has been set for January 3, 2023.

We have been closely monitoring the events surrounding FTX and keeping in close communication on these matters with key stakeholders in our cases.

Celsius today filed a motion requesting approval to extend the Exclusivity Periods in our cases. This is the period when Celsius has the exclusive right to submit a plan of reorganization.

At today’s hearing, we continued the dialogue around important topics in our chapter 11 cases. Our next hearing is scheduled for November 15, where we look forward to advancing discussions regarding the claims process and other matters.

At today’s hearing, we made progress on important issues, including bidding procedures for a potential sale of Celsius assets, cash management, and appointing a fee examiner to monitor professional fees. Our next hearing is currently scheduled for November 1st.

Celsius today filed a motion with the Court to set the bar date, which is the deadline for customers to submit proofs of claim, for those customers who wish to do so. This motion is scheduled to be heard on November 1st.

At today’s hearing, we had the opportunity to continue discussing important legal issues related to our motion to reopen withdrawals for certain Custody and Withhold account holders alongside the UCC, examiner, and other key stakeholders. Our next hearing is scheduled for Oct 20.

At our hearing today and throughout our case, Celsius continues to engage with the Unsecured Creditors Committee and U.S. Trustee to make meaningful progress on our efforts to maximize value for all customers and ensure transparency in our case.

Celsius is closely following the Ethereum Merge, and tracking questions our customers may have regarding possible forks and airdrops resulting from it. Asset and data security continue to be of paramount importance during this period.

As we continue to focus on maximizing value for all stakeholders, we want to share what we hope to be a positive first step towards meeting the expectations of our community and other important updates from our hearing today.

Today, alongside the Unsecured Creditors Committee (UCC), made up primarily of customers, the U.S. Trustee, and a number of other key parties, we participated in the Second Day Hearing where we continued the dialogue around Celsius’ efforts to maximize value for our community.

We are encouraged that the work of the Unsecured Creditors Committee, made up of our customers, is underway. Per their request for some additional time, our Second Day Hearing has been reset for August 16th at 2:00pm ET. We look forward to continuing our proceedings on that date.

Our First Day Hearing will take place on Monday. This provides an opportunity for the Court to hear from Celsius and consider next steps for the process.
